Staff Roles & Permission Grid

Granular, role-based access control. Ensure receptionists, branch managers, and teachers only access the features and data they need to perform their duties.

Predefined Tutor Roles

Manage staff roles at /tutor/roles. Out of the box, Acadiom Tutor provides 4 fine-tuned roles:

  • Super Admin / Owner: Unrestricted access to financials, payroll, billing settings, user management, and batch operations.
  • Branch Manager: Full operational control scoped to assigned branches. Can manage batches, attendance, and admissions, but cannot alter global SaaS subscription or owner settings.
  • Teacher / Faculty: Scoped strictly to assigned batches. Can mark attendance, upload study materials, review homework, and input exam marks. Cannot see student fee amounts or other teachers' payroll.
  • Receptionist / Counselor: Manages inbound enquiries, schedules demo sessions, registers admissions, and collects fee payments with receipt printing.

Custom Roles & Permissions

Need a specialist role like Exam Coordinator or Fee Recovery Officer? Click Create Custom Role at /tutor/roles/create.

Check or uncheck individual privileges across:

  • Batches (View, Create, Edit, Delete)
  • Attendance (Mark, Modify, View Reports)
  • Fees (View Due List, Record Payment, Apply Discount, Export Financials)
  • Exams (Create Test, Enter Marks, Publish Scorecards)
  • Staff & Payroll (Manage Faculty, Calculate Payouts)

Permission Matrix

Review the complete matrix at /tutor/roles to ensure no unintended privilege leaks exist across your organization.

Audit Logs & Safety

Every critical action (such as modifying fee payment amounts, editing past attendance registers, or deleting a student record) is permanently tracked in the Audit Log at /tutor/audit-logs with staff timestamp, IP address, and previous vs new values.
